Theology
What we believe is important to our lives. The most basic and scientific of beliefs is belief in God. The better we know Him, the better we know ourselves, and the better we can live as moral creatures in the world he has given us to enjoy. This should be an eternal quest of seeking -- and FINDING!
Missiology 1
Missiology is Clay's area of specialty. He earned a DMin in Missiology at RTS in 1986, and his PhD is in the Theology and worldwide expansion of Presbyterianism. Missiology is the study of the cross-cultural MISSION of the Church of Jesus Christ. The LORD, the Creator of all Mankind, gave this mission to us: "Go ye into all the world" with this Good News! It is not merely organizational expansion -- it is ESSENTIAL to who we are and what EVERY Christian should be doing until Jesus returns.
Ecclesiology 1
Ecclesiology is the study of the Church, in theological terms. But it is also a Practical subject, including much about the practical outworking of that theology in life and in history. This is also an area of specialty and focus for Clay. It is a rich field of study, bearing much practical and spiritual fruit.
Theology 2
This category covers all areas of general Theology.
Eschatology 1
The Greek word Еschaton means "the TIME" -- namely, the END time referred to in the Bible. So the study of the Last Times is called Eschatology. It may seem esoteric to some, especially due to the sensationalist literature proliferated by many groups, but it is actually one of the BASIC Christian doctrines! What do we believe? The Bible concludes with this very concept, summarized in a Syriac word: "Maranatha!" The King is coming! This is a basic Truth for all men, and it is not just a matter of faith, but an essential matter for HOW WE LIVE TODAY!
Theology of Prayer 1
We all pray. But our beliefs form HOW we pray and to WHOM we pray. How does it work? How does God TELL US to pray? How can I desire to pray more? Theology helps us answer such practical questions, so here is a Theology of Prayer.
Evangelism 1
Evangelism comes from the same Greek word as the Gospel. It is the "evangelion" which is the Good News to be proclaimed abroad. We have a message to tell, and it is GOOD NEWS! These articles consider HOW we can tell our message in the best way and most natural manner, so that people will hear, understand, believe, and join us in passing this message on.
